I haven't written a Journal since August 6, 2007. About high time I updated it!

My 18 month old shiny HP laptop died on me about a week ago. I knew it was bad when the pretty screen went blank. Sure enough, the motherboard fried. No warranty. I was really flustered when I found out I couldn't even order the part it needed. The machine is only 18 months old! My Dad (bless him) called the HP centre rip-roarin' ready to complain, because I'm not assertive enough. Turns out all the motherboards on my model were faulty, so they extended the warranty to 2 years for everyone. Yay! So now my laptop is gone. Shipped away to be repaired. Anyway, if you have an HP laptop (the shiny piano-finish one) and the motherboard fries, call HP because they might just cover it. They covered shipping too.

So, I have no photoshop.

I have exams too, but no photoshop! No stress relief! Gyarg!!

I had a lot of projects on the go for a lot of you, and I apologize, but I don't know when I'll have the chance to finish them. It could take weeks for me to get my lappy back, and I don't have a spare comp that can handle photoshop.

And for heaven's sake, I really need to make a layout for this journal. Heh.


EDIT APRIL 18: My computer has been sent back from repair, and it's working perfectly. I'm SO happy! I'm really pleased with HP's service. I didn't have to pay a penny for the repair, not even shipping! Anyway, my baby's due for a reformat so there's still a lot of work to be done on it...

Other news,

My references and essays are due for the Veterinary College application on May 15. I still need to nab some large animal clinical experience somewhere (and quick)... I'm getting excited about my application... I really hope I get in! Usually about 400 people apply to the college, and 100 get in. I'll keep everyone updated in this journal.
