It's a 1280X800 wallpaper. It's a play on her name, as there's a "phantom" horse in the image if you look for it. The painting kind of evolved as I worked on it, and ended up portraying the bittersweet feeling of sensing the presence of a loved one who has died. Josh Groban sings a song that fits this theme perfectly; "To Where You Are". This is an accomplishment for me as the entire thing (besides the text) is painted with my Wacom in Photoshop, including the background. No photomanipulation whatsoever. A reference was used for the pose of the horse, but the lighting in the reference was way off so I had to improvise and paint it myself. I was pleasantly surprised how well it turned out. Anyway, I hope you had a very Merry Christmas, Phantom! |
